The Grand Vin Rouge of the Domaine Château La Coste has a beautiful Amarena cherry red colour with reddish reflections. It has a complex and elegant nose with aromas of black fruits, precious woods, undergrowth, leather, Havana (cigar) and sweet spices.
On the palate, this red wine is rich, complex with lots of substance and density. The Grand Vin Rouge of Château La Coste is a racy, full-bodied wine that goes wonderfully well with a roast leg of lamb from the Alpilles region, confit with lavender honey, thyme and sage, and mashed old carrots. The more gourmand can also enjoy it with a roasted Mont d'Or with rosemary and roasted potatoes.
In winter, a pumpkin roasted in honey with Drôme truffles and stuffed with chard, chanterelles and old parmesan crumble can also be an ideal dish to enjoy this Grand Vin Rouge of the Domaine Château La Coste.
